Starbucks Teams with Reader To Reader for Holiday Book Drive Amherst, MA – December 1, 2006 – Starbucks throughout western Massachusetts are teaming with the Reader To Reader book program for a holiday book drive. Donors can bring books to their local Starbucks in Amherst, Northampton, Chicopee, Longmeadow, E. Longmeadow and Springfield. “We selected Reader To Reader because they really take the time to find the places that desperately need books,” notes Kelly Fitzroy of Starbucks Coffee Company. Reader To Reader, Inc. is a public charity that donates books, free of charge, to under-resourced school libraries across the United States. The award-winning organization serves 350 schools in 32 states by donating new books and recycling used books that are in top condition so that they can find new homes in school libraries.
